You may have seen some specific warnings on our products’ packaging or on the products themselves informing you about potentially harmful substances that could be found in our products.
Here is why: as an international brand, we have at heart to ensure that not only our products are safe but also that they comply with all the regulations of the countries in which we operate: they are therefore compliant with Australian regulations and safe for you to use.
Proposition 65 warnings
Proposition 65 warnings are a common sight for Californians yet can be alarming to residents from other states or countries not used to seeing them. They are mandatory warnings imposed by the state of California to all retailers to inform final customers on potential hazards posed to health or the environment if there is a possibility or trace of harmful chemicals (for example formaldehyde, phthalates or lead) found in consumer products.
Retailers are required to monitor the presence and levels of these substances and chemicals in their products to the best of their knowledge and to respect certain limits imposed by the state of California.
It is important for us to comply with the regulation and provide customers transparent information about the potentially harmful substances which could be found in our products: we therefore follow strictly the warning labels texts provided by the state of California. Labels are required to inform customers of the presence of one or more chemicals likely to be detected in the products. The chemicals listed are very commonly found in materials used to manufacture quality furniture and we want to assure you that our products are produced with the highest quality standards with our customers’ health and safety as a primary concern.

Title VI warning
Title VI warning is a US Federal regulation limiting the emissions of Formaldehyde in products made of hardwood plywood, medium-density fibreboard, and particleboard products. All of our products are made of high-grade composites, which release very low levels of formaldehyde and respects both the California State (CarB Phase II standard) and US Federal requirements regulated by the EPA.
